Inhumanity shown by killing a pregnant elephant to feed explosive-stuffed pineapple
The painful death of a wild pregnant elephant in Kerala has rocked the whole of India.
According to sources, someone in Kerala fed explosive-stuffed pineapple that went off in the animal mouth.
After eating explosive-stuffed pineapple, Elephant’s condition started deteriorating.
The animal stayed in water to avoid pain. Subsequently, due to prolonged hunger the animal gave up and died.
It was not only the death of the wild pregnant elephant but also the death of the child inside yet to be born.
It is an amazing that this incident happened in Kerala.
The elephants are loved, worshipped and respected in Kerala.
It is unimaginable that people of Kerala would be involved in such an inhuman treatment.
Kerala is known for its cultured and educated society.
Elephants are worshipped & decorated in festivals in Kerala and also loved & nurtured like a child
India’s population in 1980 was around 700 million which has increased to around 1.20 billion in 2020.
To settle this growing population, we must have cut many forests and the land and living of many animals must have been taken away.
A large numbers of human-wildlife conflicts cases have been reported due to a growing population of human being, pushing animals from their natural territory and depriving them from food to sustain.
But still people are not satisfied. That is why they are killing innocent animals for amusement or just keeping them away from their crop land.
Elephant is an important part of environment. It is a very calm and vegetarian creature.
It never hurts human being until it afraid of being attacked or danger of life.
The animals strike a balance between nature and the environment.
If this balance is broken then man will have to face the havoc of nature.
The Corona virus has already been spreading like a wild-fire all across the world, indicating that we have already destroyed the nature to the large extent by over-consumption, over-population and rapid urbanization and industrialization.
The Elephants are loved, appreciated and respected unprecedentedly in Thailand.
Indians need to learn this tradition from Thailand.
The government will have to enact stringent laws to protect wild animals.
The crops of the farmers should be insured by the government, in case it is destroyed by wild animal.
In order to aware farmers to not used explosive-stuffed fruits to kill the wild animals approaching their vicinity to get the food.
The government will have to punish the culprits severely. The government has to motivate people to have a sense of love and kindness towards the animals.
The value of animals to safeguarding environment should be promoted among farmers & villagers.
A few years ago people were mostly dependent on agriculture, economy was driven by agriculture sector.
The majority of people and farmers understood the importance of fauna and animals for the agricultural.
For example, snakes eat mice and save the crop. Earthworms make soil fertile.
That is why those animals were considered the part of their lives by excluding animals the entire ecology chain was broken and impacted the environment in an harsh manner.
There was a balance between humans and animals. Both did not interfere in each other’s territory.
But at the present time people are living in cities due to rapid urbanization.
People living in cities are not as sensitive towards animals as the villagers or farmers and overlooking the value of animals in environment due to over-consumption and capitalism policy.
The fast triggering and spreading of Corona virus indirectly indication that there is a huge ecology imbalance on earth. The corona virus may have imprisoned humans in homes.
But in such an environment a large number of animals have come out.
They are freely roaming the streets and spreading the message of nature that stop polluting and start protecting me.
The nature, through the corona virus is warning us that we have reached on the culmination point destroying all natural resource by over-utilization that must be controlled & stopped now.
Humans will have to keep a proper balance between environment and the animals’ or else constant killing of innocent animals they will have grim and gloomy repercussion.
We will have to see a fierce form of nature if still nature is not nurtured, safeguarded or protected by human being.
In Rajesh Khanna’s movie Hathi Mere Saathi, elephants’ relationship with humans was shown with full of empathy and compassion.
Elephants are very sensitive animals and know the language of love and compassion very well.
When an animal kills a human being for its protection, it is called a dangerous animal.
What about human being who has been killing animals for centuries for his amusement and food and still deemed most civilized and advanced creature on this earth.
In India, Ganesh is worshiped firstly in all worship rituals, which represents the respects towards elephant in Indian culture & soceity.
Therefore, a country that worships the elephant like a god.
A painful death of wild pregnant elephant in that country is very shameful and inhuman.
It should be opposed by public with full force and the culprits must be punished.
